1. The short version

Every tool on this site runs 100% in your browser. The numbers you type into a calculator (your salary, loan amount, debts, passwords, files) are processed locally on your device and are never transmitted to us. We have no database and no server-side application — the site is static HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
We do not sell your personal information. Not to anyone, for any purpose.
Advertising is our only third-party data consideration. Google, our ad partner, may set cookies to display and measure ads. You can opt out at any time (Section 5).
We store a handful of harmless preferences on your own device (like dark mode) using your browser’s local storage. These never leave your browser.

2. Who we are

TopWebTool is an independent, privacy-first collection of free web tools operated from India and serving a worldwide audience. If you have any privacy question, use the details in Section 9 — a real human reads every message.

3. Information we do NOT collect

Because the site has no backend, we do not operate user accounts, contact forms that store data, comment systems, or our own analytics. Concretely, we do not collect: your name, email address, phone number, payment information, IP-linked profiles, or any inputs you enter into our calculators. Data you enter into a tool exists only in your browser’s memory and is destroyed when you close or refresh the page.

4. Local storage (stored on your device, never sent to us)

We use your browser’s local storage to remember your preferences between visits. This data stays on your device, is never transmitted to us, and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings:

theme — whether you prefer light or dark mode.
twt_sound — whether interface click sounds are enabled.
twt_streak_last / twt_streak_count — a local "days visited" streak counter.
twt_completed — the list of tools you have used, so the site can show your progress.
twt_snippet_dismissed — remembers that you dismissed a first-visit tip.

5. Advertising, cookies, and Google AdSense

We display advertising to keep every tool free. We use Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (small files stored on your device) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.

6. Your rights — GDPR (EEA/UK) and other regions

Where the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation applies, the legal bases we rely on are: legitimate interest (displaying advertising that funds the free service) and consent (where required for personalized advertising, obtained via our cookie banner or your browser settings). Because we do not maintain a server-side store of personal data, most GDPR rights are satisfied by design — there is nothing about you on our servers to access, correct, or erase. For anything within our control you nonetheless have the right to: access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection, data portability, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. 7. Your rights — CCPA/CPRA (California)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended, California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing". We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. The only third-party processing on this site is advertising via Google, described in Section 5, which you control via Google’s tools above or by blocking cookies.

8. Children’s privacy

TopWebTool is a general-audience utility site. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents who believe a child has provided information to a third-party ad partner may contact us and we will assist to the extent we are able.

9. External links and security

Our pages occasionally link to third-party websites (for example, official sources such as the CFPB or Freddie Mac). We are not responsible for their privacy practices. The entire site is served over HTTPS, and because all computation is local, your sensitive financial inputs never travel over the network at all.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the service evolves (for example, if we add an analytics or newsletter tool). Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 14 days.
