Getting started in 5 minutes
- Find middle C — the white key just left of the two black keys nearest the center of the keyboard. Everything is learned from there.
- Play C-D-E-F-G with your right hand thumb to pinky; that's the C major scale's first five notes.
- Try a C chord: C, E, and G together — the foundation of hundreds of songs.
FAQ
Can I really learn piano on a web keyboard?
You can learn notes, finger numbers, chords, and ear training anywhere; for technique (weight, touch) an 88-key instrument is needed eventually.
What should a beginner practice first?
Five-finger positions, then simple chords, then easy songs like "Ode to Joy" — consistency beats length, 15 minutes daily is plenty.
